Why am I not suprised when these...umm...people get into big groups? There's stereotypes for a reason, and usually they are damn accurate. Having a gun in that situation would have done nothing but got your ass curb stomped.

Your best weapon in a situation like this is your gas pedal. Like Ransom said, forward, reverse, forward, reverse....just don't get caught standing still.
If I were to get caught standing still with them pulling that crap I would cut loose on whoever was an immediate threat, and it would clearly be justified. There are always reloads in my car as well.
